If Sanjaya can hold on a little bit longer, he might see his fame spread in his
homeland of India, "Even if the guy's really an American, it will be projected
by the media here as an Indian doing well in the world," Varma told the
Associated Press. "They'll make a big deal about it," an Indian blogger stated.
The Indian blogger is right, but misses the point a bit. Indeed Shyamali nude
pictures are popular, but if nude pictures were the sticking point then we
would still be voting for Antonella Barba. Besides Stern and Vote For The
Worst, is the formidable Desi population of Indian Americans who will vote for
Sanjaya no matter what.
Despite all his ranting, Mr Cowell is unlikely to shirk the opportunity to
market and sell Sanjaya to millions of Indian Americans, a billion plus Indians
on the subcontinent, and a few teary eyed 12 year olds.
