Sex,
or he's your ex
Excuse me
for being so bold, but I wanted to let readers know this
is not a column about and for women only. Sure, many
women feel that divorce is a particularly female rite of
passage. You don't see men writing books about their
personal journey following marital breakdown, do you?

Screw you: Ode to prostitution
Prostitutes, hookers, callgirls,
streetwalkers, gigolos, johns, ranches, brothels,
madams, pimps. We've all heard the terminology. And we
all know that it's illegal (except in Nevada and Rhode
Island. Yes, Rhode Island. Apparently the act of
exchanging sex for money is not illegal, but street
solicitation and owning a brothel is). But honestly.why?

Sexiness seen as power in a 'look-at-me' culture
Porn used to be a video hidden in the
bottom drawer, or a magazine under the mattress. Today,
it's part of everyday life. Hugh Hefner's girlfriends
are TV's "girls next door." Porn stars have MySpace
pages and do voiceovers for video games. Pornography's
available in upgraded cable or satellite packages and
even easier to find on the Internet - more than a third
of the US Internet audience visited sites that fit in to
the online "adult" category in April.

Pornographers taking their lumps on 'Net?
You might say the pornography industry
has been hoisted on its own ... well, let's not go
there. It's long been taken as a truism in the
technology world that when it comes to exploiting the
latest and greatest gadgets and services, purveyors of
pornography have been out there leading the pack,
particularly on the Internet.

Police: Pair used Web site for sex dates
Authorities say a Dallas couple used the
popular Web site Craigslist to arrange money-for-sex
dates for a 16-year-old girl. The girl told
investigators she was given rules: "not to talk to any
other guys, give all money to suspects and she couldn't
come home until she had money," court records state.
"Complainant estimates she made up to $1,000 a night."
